Christ University eligibility criteria differ from course to course.

Most programmes need 10+2 or a bachelor degree with the minimum marks for that programme, along with the Christ University Entrance Test, skill assessment, micro presentation and personal interview where applicable. Students applying for BBA need to pass 10+2 from a recognised board.

Overview

Christ (Deemed to be University) began as Christ College in 1969 and was declared a deemed to be university in 2008.

The university today runs six campuses. Four are in Bengaluru: Bangalore Central Campus on Hosur Road, Kengeri Campus, Bannerghatta Road Campus and Yeshwanthpur Campus. The other two are Delhi NCR Campus in Ghaziabad and Pune Lavasa Campus.

Programmes are not offered at every campus, so students should check the campus for the course they want. Christ offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across business and management, commerce, engineering, law, sciences, social sciences, humanities, education and architecture.

Its best known programmes include BBA, MBA, B.Com, BCA and B.Tech. The university is accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC and was ranked 63 in the NIRF 2025 Universities category.

Christ University eligibility and selection differ by programme. Most UG and PG admissions go through the Christ University Entrance Test, followed by a skill assessment, micro presentation and personal interview, along with academic performance.

MBA admission is through national level tests such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT or GRE, followed by group discussion, written assessment, micro presentation and personal interview. Ph.D. admission has its own entrance process and interview.

Courses Offered

Christ University offers UG, PG and Ph.D. programmes. Fees are not the same for every course or campus.

The fee depends on the programme, specialisation, campus and student category, such as Karnataka, other Indian states, NRI and international. The 2026 figures below are for Indian students unless a per year figure is stated, and they do not include hostel charges.

A one time admission registration fee of Rs 8,000 applies on most programmes. Always confirm the exact fee for your programme and category on the official Christ University website before applying.

BBA Course Fees

BBA is a three year undergraduate programme for students who want a career in business and management.

Selection is through the Christ University Entrance Test, skill assessment, micro presentation and personal interview.

For the general BBA, Karnataka students pay Rs 2,55,000 per year, taking the three year total to Rs 7,73,000 including the registration fee. Students from other Indian states pay Rs 2,75,000 per year, taking the total to Rs 8,33,000.

BBA specialisations such as Decision Science, Finance and International Business, Finance and Economics, Strategy and Business Analytics, Tourism and Travel Management and FinTech carry different fees. Check the fee for the exact specialisation in the All Courses table below.

MBA Course

MBA is a two year postgraduate programme open to graduates with at least 50% marks.

MBA admissions for 2027 opened on 5 September 2026, with the Round 1 application deadline on 24 January 2027. Selection uses CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT or GRE scores, followed by group discussion, written assessment, micro presentation and personal interview.

The MBA fee is Rs 5,70,000 per year for Karnataka students and Rs 5,80,000 per year for other Indian states. The total course fee is Rs 11,68,000 including the registration fee. Hostel is charged separately if taken.

Engineering Courses

B.Tech is offered at Kengeri Campus. First year B.Tech fees for 2026 range from about Rs 1,88,000 to Rs 3,98,000 depending on the branch, with branches such as Computer Science and Engineering at the higher end.

Eligibility for B.Tech is 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and one approved subject, with the required aggregate. Selection is through the university selection process.

M.Tech first year fees range from about Rs 93,000 to Rs 99,000. Eligibility is a B.E. or B.Tech degree with at least 55% marks.

Placement

Christ University runs campus placements across its schools each year through its placement office.

Along with placements, the university provides career counselling, training and interview preparation for students.

In the 2024-25 placement season, 4,065 students were placed across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, with 2,495 UG and 1,570 PG students placed.

The highest package reported for the season was Rs 32 LPA and the overall average package was around Rs 7 LPA. More than 450 companies took part, and Ernst & Young made the highest number of offers.

As per NIRF data, median packages were Rs 5.61 LPA for UG 3 year programmes, Rs 5.96 LPA for UG 4 year programmes and Rs 6.98 LPA for PG 2 year programmes.

Commerce and business programmes account for a large share of placements, followed by sciences and other schools.

Facilities and Infrastructure

Christ University runs four campuses in Bengaluru: Bangalore Central, Kengeri, Bannerghatta Road and Yeshwanthpur. It also has campuses in Delhi NCR (Ghaziabad) and Lavasa, Pune.

Each campus has its own programme mix and facilities built around the schools based there. The university is accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC.

Accommodation for Students

Students coming from outside Bengaluru can apply for university hostel accommodation, subject to availability.

Hostel charges are separate from the course fee and are not included in the tuition fee. Hostel fees vary by campus, room type and sharing, broadly in the range of Rs 50,000 to Rs 1.24 lakh per year, with a refundable deposit.

Food is paid for separately through campus cafeterias and eateries. It is not bundled into the hostel fee. Students who do not take a hostel room do not pay hostel charges.

Across its campuses the university provides libraries, laboratories, research facilities, IT services, auditoriums, seminar halls, sports facilities and student support services.

Students also get access to books, journals and other learning resources through the campus libraries.
